DevelopMint is run by Kim Ebert, a software engineer based in Blackfoot, Idaho, since day one of his career in January 2007.
Kim started in tech support, then moved into database administration and PHP development — building web and phone systems that had to work the first time, every time. From there he spent four years at a web marketing firm building payment integrations and search systems, then four more leading an engineering team through a major build-system migration. He’s been the person other engineers come to when something’s broken and needs to get fixed fast.
In 2018, Kim founded DevelopMint to do that work directly for small and midsize businesses — no account managers, no offshore handoffs, no bloated agency overhead. Over the next four years, his team built custom websites and API integrations with Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google, a backup tool written in C++, an Azure-based chatbot, and a web-based audio recording platform. Real problems, real software, shipped and maintained.
Since 2022, Kim has also worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer, building mobile apps (including right-to-left language support for Arabic), running CI/CD pipelines, and load-testing distributed systems used across the industry. That work sharpened the same skills DevelopMint runs on: shipping fast, keeping systems stable, and explaining technical decisions in plain language.
